Its Been Awhile......

Thought I should update since it has been almost a year! We are still in Magna. WE have a new foster child, as of June last year. Her name is Natasha, she is 19 and we adore her! She is very much a teenager, but it gives us practice for upcoming years right???
Things are going well around here. Madelyn is in 2nd grade. Aidan is in Kindergarten. Isaac goes to Ms. Chris for pre school once a week and we are potty training sweet Claire, who is 2.
Ron is still working at Holiday Oil in Taylorsville and loving every waking hour that he is there!
We had a nice quiet Christmas with just our family. It was nice to let the kiddos stay in their jammies all day and not have to rush off somewhere!
Anyway - we are all alive and well and wishing you much health and happiness in 2012!!

It's a Long Story.............

And I am not going to type it all out, but after a very long few months, we will NOT be moving after all!! I am sad, and frustrated and discouraged, but I also know that everything happens for a reason. When we listed our house and had it under contract within a week, it felt right...it felt right last summer when I was praying about it....but the entire time we have been looking at house after house and putting in offer after offer, it hasn't felt right! I prayed about it and never felt any peace. We lost our original buyers and had more within a day or so and that felt better but even so not the peace I was looking for! Even still, I had hoped it was me being paranoid and that it would work out. Even when the appraisal came back $20000 lower than the listing price, I still hoped!! It wasn't until the day before we were supposed to close the 2nd time that it all fell apart and I was sad, but it wasn't a surprise!!
I know there is a bigger plan!! I have a hard time not knowing what it is! With that being said, one of my close friends found out this week that her husband has leukemia! My heart is breaking for them! And me moving is nothing compared to the trials they will have ahead of them! Me having to unpack my entire house is nothing compared to him being at Hunstman for at least a month!! Me having to swallow my pride and tell everyone we are no longer leaving, is NOTHING compared to having to tell everyone that your spouse has cancer! This has put things into perspective for me! Please pray for them! Pray that they and their four children will get thought this!!

Where do I start??? Last summer we talked about it, I prayed about it, we talked about it some more. I felt really strongly that after 11+ years in this house, our time here was done and we were supposed to move on. We talked to an agent who advised that we couldn't sell this place for enough to cover what we owe plus commissions, so we let it go! Fast forward to the end of the year.....we started looking at houses in Saratoga Springs......we talked to another agent who gave us some more options, plus home sales are starting to pick up and prices are headed up too!! We find a house that we love and decide to put an off in on it. The house had been on the market for over a year and was vacant! Ugggg......someone beat us to it, by about 24 hours and their offer was accepted. We kept looking and kept working at getting our house in order to list it!
We found another house....this one is perfect!!! It has been on the market since the beginning of December, so about 3 months now....it is a short sale! Home owners have accepted our offer....and now we wait for the bank......and wait.......and wait!! Our offer went into them on Feb. 12th.....we wait........
In the mean time, we get this house ready and list it!! It will take months to sell right??? It went onto the MLS on Feb 18th...and we cleaned for a showing, and cleaned, and cleaned...... how do you show the appearance of a clean house with five kids?? Oh yeah.... you don't!!! Since the 18th, we have had to leave the house for it to be shown six times!! That is a lot of cleaning!!! Last Thursday, the 24th, our agent called to let us know that an offer had come in....WHAT....less than a week....seriously??? We met with him on Friday and reviewed the offer. We countered it. The counter was presented to them on Saturday and they accepted the counter! They signed the paperwork on Saturday the 26th and we signed it on Monday the 28th.....HOLY COW.....under contract in about a week!!! Unheard of, especially in todays market!! So we are officially "Under Contract" for this house......and we are waiting.....................

I think it has been since July since I last updated, so I thought this picture was appropriate!! I think about updating all the time....I just don't do it!! I admire those of you that update regularly...I am obviously not one of them!!!

So many fun things going on in our lives!! Madelyn is in 1st grade and turned 6 last August, Aidan is in preschool for the 3rd year and turned 5 the day after Xmas 2010, Issac was 3 in November and Claire turned 1 in November as well!! Ron had another BDay in December and I have one next week, Holly will be 15 in a few months too!!

We had some super GREAT family pictures taken last year in October that turned out GREAT!!

WE got through Christmas with a visit from my parents!! The kids had so much fun and loved having Nana and Papa here to celebrate with!! They made reindeer cupcakes with Nana and read with Papa!! So much fun!! We love the years that they come here for Christmas!! Hopefully some day other members of my family will venture this way too!!

Maddie is a Daisy Girl Scout this year and starts cookie sales tomorrow!! I think I am more excited about it then she is!! I signed up to be the troop Cookie Manager, so we will be living and breathing cookies through March!! It will be so fun!!

Ron is still working at Holiday Oil in Taylorsville. He has gone through their management training and we have high hopes for him being able to get his own store over the next year or so!! He loves it there and loves the people he is able to interact with each day!

This coming school year, both Madelyn and Aidan will be attending the new elementary school they are building in Magna!! We are watching the building process and progress with excitement!! We don't know what it will be named yet, but the idea of a new school is so fun!!

We are moving full speed ahead into 2011 with hopefully lots in store!! So far it has been a great year for us and we look forward to more!!

I finally added some pictures to the computer so I thought I would update here too!!!
Just a few of the things we have been up to!!

We are potty training!!! Sort of!!

My creative side decided to make a brief appearance and I made this!! A wreath out of balloons to be hung in celebration of Birthdays (or 1/2 birthdays) at our house!! And I am LOVING it!!!

Aidan celebrated his 1/2 birthday on June 26th with a party at Pirate Island!! This is my most favorite picture!!

We went up to the Uintas to take the kids fishing on the 2nd of July!! Much fun for the most part!! Neat to be able to see the fish swimming right by you in the lake...not so neat to not catch any!! :-)

I have the cutest Aunt Jimima Baby EVER!!! And I can't believe she is almost 8 months old!! Seriously where is the time going???

And you know you live with boys when you go outside to the screams of the girls and find the boys measuring a spider with a dog bone (the red, white and blue thing you see to the right of the spider) to see how big it was!! I hope I survive these boys of mine!!!

There are alot of things I should be doing right now...Blogging and/or playing on FB are not any of them!!

This picture is of our family, as it is right now!! Holly, age 14, our foster child. Then Madelyn age 5, Aidan age 4, Isaac age 2, and Claire at about 4 months in this picture. I Love my family!! It wasn't long ago that we were not able to get pregnant and look at us now! Some people think I am crazy and maybe I am, but I love my husband and I love my kids. They are my world and I wouldn't be the person I am without them, all of them!

This was Easter. My parents came to town for Easter this year!! They both made a bunny cake with the kids, hid eggs, searched for eggs, etc!! I LOVE my parents for the both the parents that they are and for the grandparents they have become! I am so grateful they are an active part of my kids lives and my children wouldn't have it any other way! They love their Nana and Papa!!

This is my sweet baby girl! My last child! She is adorable and I can't get enough of her right now! I love that I am able to nurse her, still!! She turned 6 months old on Mother's Day! She means everything to me and I am enjoying her so much! At her 6 month appt. she weighed 14 pounds 13 1/2 ounces, 26% for weight....and then 74% for height!! Like Ron, I suppose ;-)

And this is Aidan....my momma's boy! And I love him!! Nuff' said!!

So the pile of things to go to DI was driving me nuts, so I had Ron take it last week. I don't think I made it to 50, although I added a few more things to the now absent pile....by falling apart sewing machine and another pair of shoes. So thats two more things, but still short of my goal!! I am going to try and find the last few things this week and take them over by the weekend.....I may have not gotten 50 things out in April, but I did get some things out, and by my calculations, that is progress!!! And that makes me happy!!!

I do have so many of the kids clothes to go through, but it seems like every time I have the time to do it, it is when Claire is sleeping, and oh yeah..all those clothes I need to go through are in her room, so that isn't working so well for me...I will figure it out soon though, I hope!!

So what should the next goal/challenge be???

So my DI pile continues to grow, and grow, and grow....

I cleaned out my closet today and added 25 items of clothing to my pile, which is a bag and a half, garbage bag size!!! I also added 2 more Easter Baskets, a vacuum cleaner and a large bag of vacuum cleaner bags to my pile......now I am thinking I might need to make a trip to DI before Friday!!

So whats my total now??
I think I am close to 50, with the 25 items of clothing!!
Let's see, if I remember correctly, I still needed 39 more items.... I added 29 items today, so that would put me at 40 items gone and forgotten!!! Only 10 more things to get rid of..I am still going to see how much more I can rid my house of by the end of the month....I am sure there is more in here somewhere that can go!!!

On a side note, the dumpsters were here this past weekend for the annual spring cleanup! The city or county (not sure which) places dumpsters on every street...ours had 3....and you put whatever you need into them to throw away (non hazardous of course)and then a day or so later, they come and pick them up again and take all the junk to the dump!! I live for dumpster day every year!! This year we had a pile....an old toilet from the bathroom remodel, several 2 x 4's that were not straight enough to use, two old patio tables, a dryer, the list goes on..... We got rid of it all this weekend, plus I was able to convince Ron to get rid of 3 long tables and a shop vac that also IMO needed to go!! And the best part is, they did...GO that is!!! So that pile is gone now as well....Ce la vie!!

So my closet in on the list of things to go through....I was watching Rachel Ray the other day and she had this lady on there that was showing you how to dress your best to look thin, or something like that. Anyway, she said not turtlenecks, no velour, velvet, or courteroy..... Pretty sure I have a thing or two to get rid of in one or more of those categories (not saying which :-))

More and more of my time catching up with what everyone is up to, I find being done on FB, thus eliminating my need and/or desire to blog. This is different.....I found something I am passionate about...Spring Cleaning. But more then that...getting rid of the clutter!! Those of you that have been to my house know that it is small and not only do I have a small house, I don't have a garage, thus all the outside stuff is stored inside (or in the shed, but thats another story). Most of you also know that we are a family of seven...yes, seven!! A small house with seven people and without a garage for storage, makes for a crowded house, no matter how you look at it :-) So here is my newest project...I am going to get rid of 50 things....lets say by the end of the month. I won't throw the "stuff" away, because that is just against my system of trying to help others, but I will freecycle it and/or I will take it to DI.....I WILL GET 50 THINGS OUT OF MY HOUSE....and by the end of April. This is my inspiration: A book called Throw Out Fifty Things: Clear the Clutter, Find Your Life. According to the author you should follow these four rules when clearing out the clutter:

Rule No. 1: If the item, memory, job or even person is weighing you down, get rid of it.
Rule No. 2: If the thing is not contributing something positive, let it go.
Rule No. 3: If it takes you a long time to decide whether something needs to be tossed, throw it out.
Rule No. 4: If you're afraid to throw out something, get rid of the fear.

So I am up for the challenge...anybody with me???

Claire is seven weeks old today!! She is growing WAY too fast! She is also fitting into some of her 3-6 month clothes...how is that possible?? I hate that she is getting big so fast, but on the other hand, she starting smiling within about the last two weeks and it is adorable! I can't get enough of her little smiles. She is also starting to "talk" or coo, and that is also adorable! Her baby acne is the worst of all four kids and I hope it goes away VERY soon! But otherwise, she is the love of my life and I am enjoying every minute of the time I get to spend with her. Another plus..... she is already sleeping though the night....in bed around 10 ish and up about 7ish....a good 7-8 hours at a time!! My girls have been FAR better sleepers then the boys!!

For those of you that follow the blog and not Facebook....we are blessing her this Sunday the 3rd at 11am at the church house right by our house, Sacrament is first first! Hope to see you there!!

Aidan turned four the day after Christmas as well....my kids are getting so big!! How is it that 4 seems so much bigger then 3?? He got a few presents and we took him to wherever he wanted for lunch, he picked McDonald's!! Fine with me, cheap and the kids could all get their wiggles out playing in the play area!!

It also just occurred to me that Maddie and Aidan will go into different Primary classes this weekend because they are now another year older!! Holy COW!!!

Maybe all this age stuff is hitting me because Ron just turned another year older in December and I also have a BDay coming up...I don't know....but it sucks!!

She's Arrived.....

I think most of you already know....but for those of you that don't....little Claire finally desided to arrive on November 9th!! Claire Isabell Pearce was born at 8:39 pm on Monday the 9th after about 12 hours of labor weighing in at 7 pounds, 2 ounces and 18 inches long! We came home from the hospital on Wednesday morning and everyone around here is doing well!!
She is absolutly beautiful and I am SO in love with her! Maybe because I know she will be our last, and maybe because she is so little and I love the newborn stage....but either way, I am so compleatly in love with her. If we could snuggle all day long, I would not complain. As I type this, I am waiting for her to wake up again so I can kiss her some more.
I was induced on Monday and after a combination of things happening, I was still only dilated to a 3 1/2 at 6:30pm in the evening. Shortly after that, my Dr' came in to break my water. Once that happened, I went from a 4cm to 10cm in less then 2 hours!! And then after a very long day, and two pushes later, little Claire had arrived!!
I am so glad to have her here and SO glad to not be pregnant anymore. This pregancy, while not awful, was definately the hardest on my body and I won't be doing it again. Our sweet little family of 6 is now complete!! I have my adorable little boys and my super sweet bookend girls and we are complete!! For the first time ever, I finally feel like my family is complete. What a wonderful feeling that is!
I am so greateful for each of my kiddos and the love that we share. What a blessing these kids are in my life and I wouldn't trade them for the world.....although some days are much harder then others....they are mine and I love them SSSSSOOOOOOO Much! I am also so very grateful for my loving husband, who put up with my horrible pregnancy mood swings, and still loves me :-) I am grateful for his willingness to trust in me to be a mother to these beautiful children and to understand when I felt that we were to have four instead of the two we orginally talked about. I love him dearly!! I will post pics of Claire soon.........

Another Weekend.....

My boys...... doing what boys do!!

So here we are at another weekend.....yesterday we spent all day running around and getting things done that needed to be done. It was a good productive day, away from home. What I need today is a good productive day AT home!! Seriously.....there is so much to be done around here. When is someone going to invent a house that cleans itself, and does laundry and maybe cleans its own windows?? Is that asking too much?? Can these houses earn their keep....I mean come on.....we have to pay thosands for them as it is and then they don't even make a self cleaning model!! JJJEEEEZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!

No, I don't expect that to happen anytime soon. With the monkeys around here getting bigger, they are able to help out a tiny bit more, like cleaning up the playroom and empyting inside garbage cans. I can't wait til they can put away their own clothes....that is where I really struggle! I can do laundry all day, no problem, but to get it all actually put away is another story!!

OK, so enough with the negitive and on to the positive! Yesterday serisouly was a great day. We took the kids to Wheeler Farm and ate lunch at a picnic table there, then walked around and saw the animals. It was such a beautiful day and so nice to spend some quality time with the monkeys. They love animals so much and are so excited to see them....almost as excited as I was!! ;-) Today will also be a great day, for I am blessed with family! Maddie and Aidan are at the church as we speak, practising for their Primary program that they are in tomorrow. They were more then excited to go today.....especially to eat breakfast up at the church!! While they are there, everyone else around here is up and showered and dressed. Now I just need to get off the computer and start my mound of laundry ;-)

As far as baby goes.....nothing yet. My last appt. was this past Thursday and nothing is happening in that department. (Except a positive Group Step B test) No dilating, no nothing!! No worries though....I have less then 3 weeks left at this point. My doctor won't discuss inducing until my due date, which is three appts. away. I can do three more appts. At that point, he will most likely schedule the induction the following week. So by my calculations, even if I don't go on my own and have to be induced yet again.....I am still looking at no more then a month before this beautiful little girl joins our family and I CAN'T WAIT!!! Oh wait...yes, I can! I am more then ready to meet her and hold her.....but what's a month?? I can do that!!

that I got to visit the doctor!! I am tired of appointments...not just for me but the kids too! I don't want to be in doctors offices this time of year when bugs are rampant! I don't want to catch anything, I don't want to bring anythign home to my monkeys! Is that so wrong??

But, it is inevitatble.....I will be going to weekly appointments now and until I have this baby! The great news is that the time will go by quickly. Weekly appointments always make the time go faster. As of today I am about 30% effaced, but not dialated as of yet. When I was chekced today, he didn't feel her head, so he did a quick US in the office. She is sitting kind of sideways, with her head kind of above my left leg.....hopefully she finds the right place to be by herself and decides to come quickly!! With this little monkey, I am ready! And I am ready now! Clothes are washed, room is ready, I am ready.....with the others, it wasn't like this. I wasn't nearly as ready. I can't wait to meet this little monkey and hold her and love her with all my heart.....I am ready to meet her! I am ready!!!

Are so good at blogging every day, or even every other day. Some every week like clock work, but then there is me!!! I try for at least once a month and more often if time and creativity permit!!! So here I am!!!!

We have been so busy lately, that I am not sure where my time is going!! During the week my time is mostly spent playing taxi to these little monkeys of mine! Between three schools and doctors appts( mine, and the kids)......that keeps me pretty busy!! Aside from all that, we have been doing alot!! About three weeks ago, we got a new car, well a Surburban really....not for the seating space, but for the cargo space and I am LOVING it!! So nice not to worry about packing light for a change and no complaints from Ron if I bring more then two or three pairs of shoes for a weekend visit!! :-) So of course, after getting said new car, we took a quick weekend trip up to Twin Falls, ID to visit our friends over Labor Day weekend!! So much fun!!
Last weekend was Ron and my 10th Anniversary!!! Happy Anniversary....Love you honey!! We spent it with the kids and took them to Peach days in Brigham City, dinner at Iggy's and bowling at Fat Cats. While in BC we picked up a box of peaches and one of nectarines, so last week I spent canning those. The week before it was apples, and the week before that it was tomatoes!! A productive canning season for me, since this was the first year I attemptted to do it at home!!! This past weekend, we took the kids to Hollywood connection and the Fair!! We also went to the TF fair while in Idaho which I liked better then ours.....cheaper, less people and more free stuff for the kids to do!!! Anyway, as you can see we have been very busy!!!

So, Ron is back to work now, but has changed shifts and is working swing (2-10pm) instead of graves!! I am not working right now!! We have a new car and three kids in at least some sort of school!! Holly, foster child, is still here and doing well in adjusting to her new surroundings, as are our kids with having her around! I am still expecting #4....November 5th is the due date!! So less then 50 days to go now and counting!!! Isaac will be 2 on November 1st and I think hit the terrible twos last year :-) Aidan is doing great and loving pre-school. Maddie is doing great too and really loving Kindergarden!!

Birthday Wishes.......

The pink doll is the cake we got Maddie for her 5th Birthday!! So my baby is 5 today......5......I have a 5 year old. Ron and I have been parents for five years, five.....half our married life. She starts Kindergarden tomorrow.....just typing this brings tears to my eyes....my baby is growing up, a little too quickly!! I miss her being little, but I look forward to her being a big girl and sharing things with her. I look forward to her learning new things at school, and in life. I don't look forward to the boys and the clothes and the shoes.....all those things that go with having girls!!! I love how caring she is to others and what a loving child she is! I love that she will radomly tell me she loves me, or Ron. I love that she still hugs and kisses us many times a day! I love this big girl and the little lady that she is becoming!!
Maddie - Honey - I look forward to the days and years ahead when we will get know each other better and spend time doing and talking about girl things. I look forward to the day that you will come to me with questions, about life, about boys, about anything. Your Dad and I are so proud of you and the little girl that you are and have become in these past five years. Happy Birthday Honey!! We look forward to many more!!!!

If you know anything about kids and learning sign language, then you have probably at some point, have run accross or heard about Signing Times.....We LOVE Signing Times, all of us!! But, more then the TV Show (that is no longer on the air) the DVD's with Alex and Leah, and the CD's with their silly pizza songs...is Rachel!! The brains behind well actually in front of the camera. She is a mom to two girls, both with disabilities that require them to have learned sign language to communicate. She is amazing as a person, a performer, a singer, but most of all she is amazing as a mom.......if you've never visited her blog, take the time to check out this entry. **** WARNING: TISSUES NEEDED**** She inspires me to be a better person and a better mother. Another Graduation picture........

Ok, so I have some additional news to share! First and formost, Ron got a job!! YEAH!!! and relief!! After being unemployed for almost 8 months, finally a breakthrough!! He is working for a company called PCA (Packaging Corp. of America) and it isn't too far from home!! He isn't driving but rather is a Materials Handler in the Warehouse and is working graves again! We struggled with graves when he did it at Winder, but this time it is different, it is a straight 8 hour shift!! Ron can't recall a time in his life that he has ever had a straight 8 hour a day job! Normally it was 10, 12 or even 14 hours for him! Til the job was done!! So this will be a nice change!! He is excited to be working again and having adult conversation and be out of the house!! i am excited to have him working again!! LOL!!

More exciting news......we found out the same day that Ron got his job that we are also getting something else a little new!! Back in January, we began paperwork for foster care. We finished all the requirememnts/classes in Febuary and have since been waiting for placement of a child!! Last week on Thursday, we got a phone call that they have a child for us. I am SO excited!! She moves in a week from today and her name is Holly! She is 14 and will be in the 8th grade! The kids are so excited to have a "big sister" and Ron and I are excited for the oppertunity to help this little girl and open our home to her. This weekend we worked on her room and moved some things around. We went to Ikea and got some things she will need!! I can't wait for her to move in! What a wonderful experance this will be to teach our kids about helping others. I am really looking forward to it on so many levels!!

So with this news, that brings about more changes!! Since Ron is working evenings/early mornings, that doesn't allow me time to work from home anymore as those were the hours I was doing it. Yesterday I was able to give that company my notice, so after this week I won't have to worry about working from home. In addition, because Holly is approved to attend the after school program that RISE offers, I won't be working that any more after this week as well, so my hours will only be M-F until 3:00 ish instead of 5:30 ish!!! That allows me so much more time with my family, which of course I couldn't be happier about!!! I will continue to work my normal 9-3 as long as Ron can survive the kids during the day! That is the summer program and it ends in about 4 1/2 weeks anyway, so for my working carear.....it should end soon and then I can get back to spending time with my family, learning all about Holly, and spending time with my friends who I have sincerely missed!!

So back at the end of May, Maddie and Aidan graduated from pre-school!! Madelyn from her second year and Aidan from his first year. Maddie starts Kindergarden in August, the day after her 5th B-Day!! I LOVE this picture of them together from graduation day!!!

Isaac got his first big boy haircut!! From curls, to nothing! It took Ron and I a few days to get used to his new little guy look.....

So we are having a...........

Oh my gosh, I am so excited!! We found out today that we are having another girl!! Dont' get me wrong, I LOVE my boys and I would not trade them for the world. They are so special to me. They make me laugh and they make me cry and I love them both dearly!! But I really wanted another girl. Maybe more then I thought!! I was totally prepping myself for this baby to be another boy, after all all the boys in Ron's family have had girl, boy. boy and the first of them to have #4 it was another boy!! So I figured we would surely follow suit and this baby would also be a boy!! Could I handle three boys in my house growing up?? Not too mention the bigger boy that resides here too?? What would happen after Maddie got bigger and moved away, me alone with these boys?? I couldn't picture it....not me...growing up without brothers!! This pregnancy has been alot like when I was prego with Maddie, but still it could be a boy!! Like I said, prepping myself........and then today, we go to my ob appt. My Dr. listens to the heartbeat. I tell him, we have the ultrasound this afternoon, so what are your predictions?? He says Boy!! I told him I hoped he was wrong!! Again, still prepping myself because surely the Dr. knows what he is doing!! So then we go to the Ultrasound appt. this afternoon......and they start right away asking if we want to know the sex......UM HELLLLOOOOOO...obvisouly they don't know me...I am a planner!! I HAVE to know the sex of this baby!! And they look and say GIRL!!! What, yep, GIRL!!! Tears start rolling from my eyes. I am so excited!! Two and two...I couldn't ask for anything more!!! I love these kids so much and to know we get to be blessed with another one makes me so excited!! What a wonderful day!!!

OK, so this is another OLD picture..... and wow how we have changed!!! Ron and I got married in 99 at a drive thru wedding chapel in Las Vegas...this is a picture from our "wedding" What a fun time we had and such fond memories that trip holds for us. Plus what a conversation starter when asked where we got married:-) Anyway - it has been on my mind alot lately because we will be married 10 years this September. We have been through so much together in the past almost 10 years and IMO we have become such better people for it. So much has changed in our lives and we still have so much ahead of us. Good and bad I am sure!! We have survived deaths and celebrated births, survived layoffs, purchased our first home, taken many trips and vacations, started traditions and a wonderful family.....and although it isn't Sept. yet, I can't help but thinking about our Anniversary this year and how grateful I am to have a wonderful husband and father for my kids who truely loves me for who I am. Not an easy task on some days, I am sure!! I love you Ron!! Thank you for all you do and for who you are and the person you have become!!

On a side note....I am LOVING these thunderstorms we have been getting almost daily!!!

So you can tell by the date on this picture that it is from December 2003!! Ron and I were driving home from CA. after being there for Xmas and my grandmas funeral. We were passing over the Sierra Nevadas and this was how much snow they had......we had to stop and take pictures. I am 5'5" if that gives you any idea!!! And it was FREEZING cold!!!

Anyway - this picture, among others, was on an old computer that I haven't been able to look at for years. When our computer crashed last week, I called my friend Michelle to see if her hubby might have a minute to look at it. HE went above and beyond looking at it.....and needless to say removed some hard drives, and moved some around, and now I can see my pictures again!! YEAH!! And a HUGE thank you Michelle and Alex for helping us out during this crisis!! IT is GREATLY appreciated and we owe you one!

So today is suspossed to be able 76 degrees.....I am not complaining and I like the warm weather especially after a long, cold winter, but I much perfer the snow and rain and cold to the heat! I looked at the newspaper this morning and it is only suspossed to get hotter this week. Up into the high 80's...um...hello....what happened to easing us into the heat?? On the other hand, in talking to my mom yesterday, she mentioned 101 in Sacramento today.......so I MUCH prefer the 70's over the 100's, especailly in May...because if it that hot now, I can't imagine what summer is going to be like!!

Well...I feel so busy lately that I don't know which way is up, or down, or well you get the idea!! Happy Mother's Day to you all by the way!! I know that is today!! LOL!! So since I am not seeing the people I used to see on a daily basis, I figured I would update here!! Life is still crazy for us. Ron has finished school and passed his driving and testing this week!! He is now an offical CDL holder!! He did so great!~! Can you imagine backing and parallel parking a semi?? He had to do that for his test!! Crazy!! So now we move on to quickly finding him a job, hopefully!! Not that he had stopped trying while he was in school, because he didn't, but now our need is becoming a little more urgent with us approaching the 6 month mark and unemployment almost running out! So if anyone knows of a driving job, local or OTR, please let us know!!
As for me, well I am coninuing to work my two jobs!! I got hired as a supervisor for the Summer Program at the one job, so starting in June I will be working 40+ hours a week at that job alone. That will continue until the end of August. So IF Ron doesn't find something, at least I will be full time and he can watch the kids til the end of that timeframe!! After that - well I haven't thought ahead that far, cause I am REALLY, REALLY praying that he finds something and I won't need to worry about it! I'm truely grateful to have found something more fulltime, but can I tell you how much it breaks my heart to know that I will miss out on an entire summer with my kids?? No free lunch at the park, no daytime trips to the zoo, no park playdates, or any other playdates for that matter.....I am having a hard time with that~! I am glad that they will get to spend that time with Ron, but its still just different....they need their mommy~! Maybe this is so close to my heart because of today being mother's day, maybe my emotions are just running high because I am prego....IDK....but I have been such a baby today. Oh well...... such is life.
Otherwise, the kids are all doing GREAT!! Maddie has Kindergarden orientation this past week and was thrilled to meet her new teacher and cannot wait to start school in August. She starts the day after her B-Day, so we figured we will take treats on the first day of school as a special treat! Maddie and Aidan are both almost done with pre-school for the year, anbd will celebrate with a graduation on the 20th. They love going to school, so I am sure summer might be a bit rough for them!! Isaac is a monkey and keeps us running in every direction. He is talking a little more now days and is saying cookie, and baby among a few other words.
No pictures today, because last week our computer crashed and we had to get a new one. My other job requires me to work from home, so we couldn't go without it! I am loving how fast this new one is, as well as the 20" screen instead of my old 13"....... so once I get some files back or download pictures.....they won't be any for a bit~!!
Anyway - I hope all of you mother's had a wonderful day! You are all such great examples to me and I love each and every one of you! Thank you for that which you bring to my life!

Another picture from Disneyland......

Anyway, I honestly haven't meant to keep you waiting on my news. I am juggling so many things right now, I honestly just forgot to update my blog. For those of you that don't know.....I am trying to handle two jobs, a husband that is now in school full time, 3 kids, out of town company for the past three days, and run a household, be in the RS Presidency at church (read Meetings, meetings, meetings) and on top of all of that.....I am pregnant!! OK, that is news number 1. I am expecting and yes, again. The timing isn't the best with Ron being out of work, but we will take it!! I am due approx. Nov 6th, about 5 days after Isaac turns two!! So I am just about 11 weeks along at this point....almost 3 months!! So on top of everything else going on, I have been tired and haven't felt so well. News #2, Ron is in school full time FINALLY!! He started last week, and only has a month of school to get his CDL. He took his permit test this week and passed and should start "behind the wheel" next week at school. He was told that if he wants to do long haul, then he will have a job before he is done with school. And while long haul isn't my first choice, he will do whatever he needs to to get a job right now, looking for something local as soon as he can get it!! So, he's in school and should have a job of some sort within the next few weeks. The other news will have to wait until I have some things confirmed. It my take weeks, maybe months, so I won't tease you about it. I will let it go til I have some more answers!! Thanks for going though the antiscipation with me!! Love you guys!!!

I'm still not telling!!!! But I made ya look, didn't I??? HEHEHEHEHEHE I know it's mean. On some level I think it is the control freak in me!! LOL!! Seriously though - about four or five of you have asked what the big secret is and I haven't told any of you all of them.....all of them, you ask?? YEP - I have about three things to announce. So some of you might know one or two, but no one knows them all......you may think you know, but you don't!!! So yeah - I'm still not telling!! I hope to be able to share at least one of them with you maybe next week. The other two will have to wait......at least another three weeks for one, possibly longer for the other!! But I do know that those of you who have asked actually read my blog.....so thank you for that!! It's nice to know that someone does!! LOL!!!

So I for one happen to love it when someone mentions somewhere, blog, FB, whaerever, that they may have some news to share and to stay turned!! It drives me crazy. Obsessively, complusivly crazy until I find out what that news is!! I speculate about all kinds of things until I find out. And as much as is does drive me crazy, I don't want to be the only one!! Valentine's Day....

What did you do?? In the past, Ron and I haven't done much on V-Day or our Anniversary, not because we don't love each other, but because we just thought of it as a waste to spend money on cards that get thrown away, or flowers that die, etc!! Last September, our anniversary rolled around and my parents were here for a visit. They said they would watch the kids, if we wanted to go out to dinner, or something.....so we took them up on that deal!! FREE babysitting, who wouldn't?? LOL!! That morning, we get up say our Happy Anniversaries, talk about what tiem we are going to dinner, and that's about it. Well, my mom gets all wierd about this, syaign that we should at least get each other cards, or make one or soemthing..... We brushed it off and went about our day! Later she explained to us.....It really bothered her, because if we don't do anythign on those days, then how do we "keep the romance alive"?? She said it isn't about spending the money, or the flowers, it is about expressing your love and appreciation for that person by taking the time to show them they matter, by getting them a card or flowers, or both!! Ron and I talked abotu it and agreed....we could be better about it~! So later that day he went out and got me a card and flowers before taking me to dinner, my choice!!!

So, fast forward to Valentine's Day!! This whole thing my mom said is still very fresh in my mind. Ron and I planned on attending a Stake Valentine's Day Adult only Dance on the 13th, and going to dinner before hand, and that would be our V-Day!! We hadn't talked abotu anything else, cards, etc!! So earlier that week Maddie and I were at Wally world and we picked out cards from her, from the boys, and from me. I kept them hid in the car, and to my knowlegde, she didn't tell either!! (YEAH Maddie) Ron and I went to the dance Friday night, went to dinner, had a great time!! So much fun, really!! Saturday comes and we give the kids cards to him and mine.....he breaks out a card of his own....he didn't forget to get a card!! He must have remembered my mom's conversation too!! So after that while story......THANKS MOM!!! For helping us to see what Valentine's Day and our Anniversary should really be about!! (Her and my Dad have been married 39 years this year, so they must know a little about it, huh??)

Role Reversal.....

So our lives have been turned around a little lately without Ron working. We are doing well though...thanks to all of those that keep asking!!! Since everyone keeps asking, I figured I better update!! So as of right now, I am working two part time jobs and Ron is being a stay at home dad!! My first job is doing companion care with disabled children. I work with two on a consistant basis, one who is 16 and one who is 18 months. They are both a handfull, but I love them and I am really enjoying this job. It makes me grateful that I am so blessed that my children do not have any known diabilities!! Yet I am also grateful to learn about so many disabilities and how different they are. So anyway, I am doing that 3-5 afternoons/evenings a week. My 2nd job is a work from home job doing customer service for a credit card company. I am training currently, and have been for most of January. Who knew credit cards were so complicated??? Once I finish training for that company I will be working in the morning for a couple of hours, and then again early afternoon and probably Saturdays too!! Between the two jobs, two callings (cause I haven't been relaeased from AD yet) a family, a home and a husband, life is keeping me VERY busy!! So I apologize if I have appeared much like a chicken running around with my head cut off....cause some days, that's how I feel!! It has been a juggling act, and so far I have all the balls in the air, yet I fear that won't hold true for much longer. Ron has been a HUGE help at home...he watches the kids while I am working, he is helping with dishes and laundry and most nights makes dinner too!! It has been challenging for both of us, since neither are used to these new roles that we have been throw into, but we are managing!! I know this is a temporary situation and it won't last forever. I know that Heavenly Father blesses us and we face trails to learn things. I am learning many things......like what a good cook my husband is, and how hard it is on Madelyn that I have gone back to work. I have learned that I would MUCH rather be a stay at home mom, then a working mom, but I am ok working as long as Ron is home with the kids and we don't have to put them into daycare. I have learned that I enjoy working with people and that having a job is giving me a new aspect of self worth. I have learned that we can do anything we set our hearts and our minds too! I have a greater testimony of Heavenly Father and him giving us nothing more then we can handle. Last summer I would have had a major nervous breakdown if Ron would have been laid off at that point. And not that I wanted this to happen, but from the get go I have known that everything would be ok, even though I didn't know how. Heavenly Father has helped me through this tough time and everything really has been ok!! We are a stronger, closer family because of our trials and for that, I will be eternally grateful!!

I am truely hoping this will be a good year for us. Last year was hard....the last month has been really hard. If you have been following....alot of bad has happened and I am so done with the bad......I need to look on the bright side of things going forward. So.....the good things that have happening lately......We got to go to Disneyland the beginning of Dec with my family. My sister, neice and parents met us down there on the 5th of December. We got to leave on Thurs night instead of driving all day with three kids! Ron and I would both prefer to make along drive like that through the night so the kids can sleep and when this was all planned, we thought we were going to have to do the day drive, but we ended up not having to at least on the way there which was GREAT!! Disneyland was fun....super crowded, but fun~! I loved being able to experiance it through the eyes of my children. I loved seeing them try to understand that it was make believe and nothing would hurt them, like the cannons in the pirate ride, or the bad guys on any of the rides. i loved watching them laugh on the teacups. I loved watching them not be able to point fast enough to different things they noticed on It's A Small World. I loved watching how excited they got when they saw a charather...Mickey, Goofy, Buzz, any of the princessess.....it was magical!! I loved watching them watch the parades with open mouths in awe of each new thing that passed before their very eyes and the wonder of what could possibly come next!! I loved experiancing that with each of them.

It was also Ron's first trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!! Let's just say...he's a man and doesn't get so excited about things like that as I do. Although he LOVED the clam chowder at CA. Adventure and he LOVED the Sorin' Over California ride too!! So although he had fun....it probably wasn't as much as I wanted him too!! We have decided that we will go back soon, but just the two of us so we can cover more ground, faster...we missed alot with the kids and strollers, but I would trade a minute of it!!

Ok, so aside from Disneyland.......we have a new water heater that I know we won't have to worry about and will last a good five years with Magna Water!! We have a brand spankin' new garbage disposal....the last time was replaced it was 9 years ago, so I am hoping for a good 9 years out of that too!! We also have a brand new freezer (Thanks Mom and Dad!!) Again, i am hoping for 9+ years out of that one too!! None of those will break anytime soon!! We also got a new furnace this past Spring, so I am good there too!!! The car has new tires and should be fine!! We have a good roof over our heads with heat, and hot water. We have a freezer full of food and a storage room mostly full of food storage. So glad I listened to that small voice a few months ago to build it up NOW!!! Granted, we have room to improve, but it's good for now and we will be ok!!

Ron hopes to hear about a job next week, now that the holidays are over and everyone is back from vacations starting on Monday!! He did find out that he qualifies for medical benefits through VA since he was in the Air Force...thats great news for us!! On top of all that - I have found a job and have been working since Tuesday. It is part time and only four afternoon/evenings a week, but it is something!! I have tested for a few others and am keeping my fingers crossed that I can eventually get on at the Post office encoding center, but it takes time.

At church - Aidan will start "big boys Primary" as we call it around here. He will go to Sunday School and Sharing Time with the big kids starting this Sunday. No more nursery for him!! We are working on potty training and he is doing pretty well with it most of the time!! Maddie will move into the 4-5 year old class and get a new teacher starting Sunday as well!! Isaac only has five months from today til he starts in Nursery...but who's counting>>> ME!!! Starting sunday, our church also moves to a different timeblock. Instead of attending from 11 - 2, we will switch to 9-noon. I have mixed feelings about it, but we will make it work!! I also recieved a new calling and am the Secratary in the Relief Society.....something that is a bit foreign to me, but I guess it is where I need to be right now!! I am excited to learn new things and work with the ladies in RS. I will miss the Activity Day girls, but am ready for a change since I have been doing that calling for a few years now!!

Christmas was great around here. My parents came this year by train and stayed with us for about a week. My mom was thrilled by the amount of snow that fell while they were here!! My Dad was more excited about the GREAT burger he had from Five Guys.
We got some really nice presents from everyone and had a great time watching the kids open their's. We are currently waiting for the snow to melt as Santa brought the kids a trampoline, so we are waiting to put it up!!

Anyway - sorry for the novel!! That is all that has been going on around here!! The good, not the bad!!! We wish you all a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

So why is it, that when something bad happens, it happens again and again, and again?? So most of you know that Ron got laid off from Winder on Dec. 1st, that was bad enough.....then we go to Disneyland and everyone gets sick, including a trip to ER, in which we are still waiting for that bill to arrive. On top of all that, and Christmas coming up, we still know know if we are approved for any unemployment, Ron hasn't found a job yet, and either have I, but last night I go downstairs to put Madelyn to bed and there is water all over the carpet in the hallway, family room, etc.....our water heater goes out!! UGGGG.... I was ok up until last night....we cannot afford a WATER HEATER right now, but what choice do we have??? Needless to say, Ron is at the store with his brother getting a new water heater. Hopefully they can figure out how to get it installed and working TODAY!! I need hot water!!! I know that Heavenly Father won't give me anythign I can't handle, but gosh.....can my hard time be done???? Please keep us in your prayers that we find a job or jobs soon!!

We left late Thursday night in stead of Friday morning cause Ron was laid off from Winder last week....... and we arrived in Anaheim on Fri morning;
Friday - I had two pucky kids
Sat - a pucky husband
Sun - a trip to ER for me
Mon - a pucky sister
Tues - a pucky dad

We got home last night about 8 pm. Everyone is fine now! And I am really glad to be home!!!

So have you seen the Twlight movie yet?? I went this past Friday with a few friends and saw it. It was just ok. Now keep in mind, that I was in the second row and that may have had something to do with it. There were several very funny, laugh out loud parts, but also a couple of really random parts that I didn't like. So, it was just ok in my book.....but I will probably see it again so I can focus a little more without being on the second row!!

Otherwise, a productive weekend and we got alot done around the house. The kids are all packed for Disneyland with the exception of socks for the boys!! We got some new doors hung downstairs and put up a shelf in the storage room. Ron got rid of all his baseball cards, a major thing for him!! Anyway - productive!!

As for my countdowns.......2 days til Thanksgiving, 8 days til Disneyland, 30 days til Christmas and 31 til Aidan's 3rd Birthday!!

Busy Saturdays....

Where do our weekends go?? This weekend went by so quickly! Since Ron works graves, he is home all day on Fridays and doesn't work Friday nights....so Friday during the day we typically do our running around. This week we didn't have any to do, so we worked around the house....laundry, dishes, hanging new doors in the basement, sorting baseball cards to sell, etc, etc Friday night I got a brief break and went to see a friend conduct the Relief Society singing thing at Temple Square. Saturday was more of the same...laundry, lots of laundry, more work on doors, more laundry, dishes, then we ran to Costco for some dog food!! And to dinner at Chick Fil A and then home, kids in bed and us to bed....and welcome welcome Sabbith morning!! Sunday is here and now gone along with the weekend!! We got alot accomplished but seriously the weekend goes by WAY too fast! I would love about 48 more hours on the weekends to spend time with my family having fun and not doing laundry!!

Also, we leave on Friday, December 5th to go to Disneyland!! I am so excited and so are the kids!! They can't wait to go!! I started packing them this weekend...can't start that too early when we have so much to remember to bring! Ron still isn't too excited since he has never been!! Poor guy, doens't know what he's missing!! So anyway, thus starts the countdown..... 18 days til Disneyland, 11 days til Thanksgiving, and 39 days til Christmas!!!

Christmas Shopping....Are you done??

So Halloween is past, Thanksgiving is two weeks from tomorrow, and Christmas is less then 44 days away...just over a month! Our Bishop has advised not to go into debt for Christmas, but how do you do that with just over a month left, 2 and in some cases three paychecks away, yet for some only one more paycheck!! Can you pay for Christmas with your next one or two paychecks, or does the thought of that throw you into a mid life crisis?? Have you started your shopping yet?? Do you have any ideas in mind? Are you making most of your presents this year?? How many people do you buy for and will you cut back this year because of the economy??

Although most of you will think I am crazy, we are almost done. I am making some of my presents this year, and those are mostly put together with a few finishing touches left to sew. Making presents will save us a ton of money, and alot of time in the stores. The presents the kids are getting from Ron and I are done. Our parents are about 70% done. Other family, ideas are in place or mostly done. Neighbor gifts are figured out and a tiny bit started on. I love being done with my shopping by Thanksgiving. I hope to be able to do that this year as well, then I will only have things to put together and wrap after Thanksgiving!! So yes, we are able to do as advised and follow the Bishops counsel.....our Chirstmas will NOT send us into debt!! Instead it will be more homemade, and hopefully we will be able to use that to our advantage and be able to teach our kids to focus on Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ, instead of the presents!!

I hope this post doens't panic anyone....just a reality check!! Start your shopping early, make gifts, have a plan, make a budget and stick to it....but most importantly, remember what Christmas is all about and don't go into debt buying presents!!

So Sunday with coughing and snot was not enough, they have to carry in into today too!! I have three sick kids and alot of SNOT!! I despise SNOT....I always get sick when there is snot around my house, and with three snotty noses, we have alot of snot today!! Keeping my fingers crossed that I won't catch what they have!!

Enough about the snot, thanks to our friends who came over on Sat. we had a wonderful time getting to know you all better. Makes me want warmer weather already so we can get some camping/fishing trips in!!

Also, BIG congrats to Shauni and family on the birth of their newest member!! Sophia was born on Friday and is one beautiful and lucky little girl to be born into such a special family! It was a pleasure to meet you Sophia and welcome!!

Speaking of litlte ones....I took Isaac in on Monday for his one year appt. My little guy, isn't so little anymore. He weighed in at 22.2 pounds, 48%, up form 17 pounds, 30% at his 9 month visit. He is a whopping 30 1/3 inches tall, 76% on his height..... he takes after his dad like Maddie!!

Aside from the snot, everyone is doing well. Lots going on this week, enrichment night on Tues, AD on Wed. night (Stef, I need you to show me how to make the gumdrop turkeys before Wed night...you going to be around??), Recipe Club on Thurs here...I get to make a double layer pumpkin pie for that, YUM...so come if you can!! Working out every day, kids going to school M-Thurs, (not today though).....need to go to Target and have then price match the boots I bought the kids on Fri, need to make dinner for a family in our Ward, lots to do!!! Ok, so most of you who see me on a regular basis, know that Isaac is walking all over the place now. I am so excited because tonight at dinner, he did not just his first "sign" in ASL
(American Sign Language) but he did a four of them.....he signed Milk, more, eat and excited!! I try to remember to sign to him most of those words every time I say them to him.....and if I were better at it, he proabbly would have been signing a few months ago, but to see him signing tonight makes me so proud!! We are HUGE fans of Signing Times and to see my kids able to learn these signs, use them and especially communicate with kids that they may not be able to communicate with otherwise, just makes me BEAM as a parent!! Not to mention that I have learned alot of these signs myself, and am able to learn them with the kids, help them learn the signs and also communicate with one of the sweetest little girls I know that lives in our neighborhood!! Needless to say....huge fan of ASL and Signing Times!! Highly recommend them for everyone!!

Ahhhhhhh...RAIN!! I love the rain!! Truly I do, excpet being out in it. This morning it is raining. I plan on putting a chili in the crockpot for dinner. I love Crockpots too!! Hopw great is it that I can throw everyhting together and it be Cooked and ready when I want to eat!! HEAVEN!! If you don't use your crockpot at least once or twice a week, you are wasting it!! A great tool!!

Anyway, I got some pix downloaded to the laptop cause I was sick of not posting with them. So here I am. Yesterday was productive, many loads of laundry later and today will be spent puting them away. Among other things....like voting!! I love that we have the right to vote in the country. That our voices matter. I will go vote this afternoon, hoping the lines won't be too long. I will be anxiously awaiting the results of Prop 8 in Ca. along with many others. I believe marriage should only be between a man and a woman, yet I understand the want for everyone to be considered equal, so this one interests me personally.

Not so busy week, thank goodness. I am ready to just have some days at home. No more little friend to watch, so no picking him up from school at noon on top of everythign else I have to do each day. The rest of this week consists of voting and a playdate on Thurs. that's it!!!

I hope you all go out and exercize your right to vote. Make good decisions based on the canidates and what you believe. Don't just vote without knowing the issues and consequences at hand, just because you can!! Your future depends on it!!

You don't get a picture cause I am on the laptop instead of the desktop and I don't have any pictures saved on here!!
Otherwise, I have been horrible at updating lately!! Lots going on. Still watching our little friend, only two more weeks of that, but the next two weeks all three of his sisters will be joining him! Anyway, two more weeks of that!! Otherwise, we have been spending time at the park, getting in a few more days of that before winter completly sets in! We have had snow in the valley, on our lawn even, but it melted fast!! I hope we have a Autumn this year and don't skip ahead to winter so quickly. We have had a few playdates with some friends, we have a few more planned for this coming week....Gardiner Village and the witches, Church History Museum, Boo at the Zoo, etc, etc. Aidan and I have had swim lessons going on saturday mornings, this Saturday is Super Saturday at Church and somehow I ended up being "in charge" of two of the projects (Thx Stef!!) so I will be runnign to swim lessons and back to Church, next weekend we have primary program prastise, swim lessons and Boo at the Zoo. Maddie will be a Princess for Halloween (no surprise there) Aidan will be a cowboy, and Isaac will be a tiger....even Mia has a costume this year...she will be a witch! The closest I EVER come to dressing up will be an Old Navy Pumpkin T-shirt, end of story!!
Isaac has cut two teeth, about two weeks ago the first one popped through. About three days later the second one appeared. They are still barely there though and you have to look close to see them!! The other thing my little guy is doing is walking....already!! He started at about 11 months old, maybe a tad bit before that. The most steps I have counted at once in a row without falling is 12, but he is improving every day. He will be two feet in front of you and fall down and instead of crawling the rest of the way to you, he will stand and try yet again to walk the remaining distance!! What a tropper!! He NEVER gives up!! He watches aidan and Maddie run and he tries to run with them one or two quick steps and he falls, but he gets up again and again and again!! He is such a smily little guy still...I truly love that about him! He is always happy and always smiling! Ron even said, Everyone notices him and we think it is because he smiles at everyone, everywhere we go!! I am probably bias cause hes mine, but he sure is a cutie!! I will get some pics of him walking soon!!
Let's see....what else is going on.....just found out that a very cute friend of mine is Prego!! I couldn't be more excited for her and her hubby. This will be their first and they are thrilled!! We are waiting for Prego news from Idaho (hint, hint you guys) Babies are such a beautiful blessing. I am so grateful for my three children and the joy they have brought into our lives. I am grateful that Heavenly Father has entrusted us with three of his precious spirits and I hope I can live up to his expectations in raising them! They are truely a gift from above and make us smile each and every day!
Speaking of smiles....we are counting down the days til Disneyland!! We go on December 5th, just over a month away! The kids are getting excited, although I fear the wait for them will be horrible. They have new outfits, new matching Mickey and Minnie shirts, new autograph books.....I can't wait to go! Ron has never been to disneyland before either, so I also can't wait to watch him experiance "the Happiest Place on Earth" I am sure it will be great! Just not looking so forward to the drive there with three kids in the car and 10 hours on the road....any tips for keep kids quiet besides driving at night while they sleep, DVD player and MixMax's??
I think that is a good update for now!! You can see I have been busy in one aspect or another! I will be better at updating soon!!

I think I had my "tackle" moment today!! A day late, but never a dollar short! I got four loads of laundry folded and almost put away. I cleaned the entire kitchen, dishes put away, dishes washed and loaded into the dishwasher, cabinets washed down, table and high chair washed down, refrigerator washed down, walls washed down......so that's my WOW... WOW...I did all that this afternoon!!!

Another side note - Isaac is 11 months old today!! One more month til he's one!!

So what did you tackle today?? I had great plans, but they were interupted by a scheduled Dentist appt. for the kids! I did however, get to the Bishop's Storehouse to get some more wheat.....3 - 25 lbs. bags worth this go round!! Getting more wheat has been on my to do list for eons now, so check in the box....that is done. I got a fews loads of laundry washed and dried but not folded or put away!! I made dinner, exchaged some pants, dropped off videos to the library and went to the post office, worked out this morning, took kids too and from pre school and watched our little friend for an hour....does all that count?? I think it does!! I really hoped to have one of those "really get alot done days" but apparenttly today wasn't it!! Maybe tomorrow.........

On a side note- that picture is of Aidan just after he turned one!! Boy - Isaac is sure looking like him!! I didn't notice it til I looked at that Pix!!

So I had some running around to do today. After working out, I packed the kiddos up and went shopping for a B-Day present, picked up our little friend from school, then took all four kids to JoAnns, made one more stop and came back home around 1:30 ish. I get home and WOW am I a HAPPY HAPPY girl. DH has put away the dishes in the dishwasher, washed the dishes in the sink and started the dishwasher, emptied the trash in the bathroom and downstairs and brought up a basket of clean laundry!! I cannot tell you how much of a turn on it is for me to get help at home!! I am so excited today.....he couldn't have done better!! That's my WOW for today!! I hope you have a WOW moment today too!!

So what did I do today. My plan was to have something big that I did, but that didn't happen today....maybe next week ;) Between preschool this morning, working out, going to the library, picking up a little boy I am now watching, naps, lunch and dinner, swim lessons, book club meeting and meeting with our Bishop, my day was pretty much full!! And now here I am on the computer....which always seems to last alot longer then I antiscipate, however Ron is off to work and the kiddos are all in bed and I think even asleep!! So I am done updating, and off to strip and remake my bed!! That will be the only thing I tackled today!! Hope you had more productive days then mine!!

Happy Labor Day Everyone!! How did you celebrate?? I celebrated but not doing a dang thing....well, ok a couple of loads of laundry and dinner and I made Peanut Butter Bars, but that was seriously it today!! i figured those who work out of the home get it off (in most cases) and so should I!! so I lounged around with the kids, we watched movies and stayed in Pj's all day!! So nice since it was raining!! Truely felt like a Fall Day!!

Otherwise, Had a wonderful weekend...got the Princess Party done with flying colors!! I think it was a great success!! Then afterwards, went with some friends for a girls afternoon/evening and went to Swiss Days in Midway and then to Ikea!! Got great ideas, finished up some Xmas shopping, and BDay shopping and hung out with some of my favorite people, and all this WITHOUT kids!! (HUGE thanks to Ron for watching the kiddos, so I could get some much needed "me" time) Great weekend!!

I forgot to post this sooner, but this past Sunday the 24th was Madelyn's 4th Birthday!! I can't believe my baby is four already! They grow up so quickly right before our very eyes!! I am so proud of Madelyn and the little lady that she is becoming! She is beautiful and sweet, her kindness melts my heart, her stubborness does too as she is so much like me!! She is a huge help with her brothers and too me always wanting to help when I am making dinner, or doing dishes!! I love her for that! I love that when I cry, she is the first one there to give me a hug and tell me it will be ok! I love that she is ALL girl, wanting bows in her hair and shoes to match every outfit! I love that she loves to shop, and always wants to go to "another store". I love that she LOVES her Primary class, and tells us everytime she learns about "Jesus Smith" LOL!!

I love that she always wants to help Aidan when it is his turn to say the prayer, even though she always asks for help when its her turn!! I love that when I tuck her in at night, she HAS to give me a kiss and about four hugs til it's ok for me to leave her room without her "needing me"!!

Maddie, I love you sweetheart!! The little girl you have become and everything about you! I hope you always think of yourself as a princess and never settle for anything less then what you deserve!! You will alwyas be a princess in my eyes!! I love you!!

For two resons....

1) Our dear friend that sews amazing clothes for little kids, especially girls, finished a princess dress for Maddie today!! I will post a picture later, but it is better then I imagined it would be and so beautiful!! I can't wait for her to wear it to her party this weekend!!

2) I GOT GLITTER TOES!!! I am sooooo excited. They are blue and I LOVE them!! again...will post pictures later!! Thanks much Holly!!

Free Lunch No MORE

We have been attending the "free lunch" park regularly this year, not because we have to, but because we want to. We see our friends there every day, the kids get to play, I get some adult conversation...everyone leaves happy! We have made this part of our daily routine, school, shower, get dressed, go to the park, come home and it's nap time and nap time around here, means I get things done...YEAH!!! So today was the last day of free lunch for the summer. I am going to miss not seeing our friends every day, I am going to miss the routine, I am going to miss a regular nap time, and I am going to miss not having to worry about what to make for lunch! However, I will NOT miss, the see through bologna on the sandwiches, the bees and other bugs, the lady who didn't wear enough clothes, the kids with the choice laungage around the kids, and the baby carrotts...I have enough of those to last til next year!! LOL!! Thanks to our friends who attended daily with us, the company was wonderful, stimulating, memorable and enjoyable!!

With that being said, I know that the end of this summer fun means something too!! Fall is around the corner and I can smell it! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the fall and can't wait for cooler weather. We went to Temple Square last Friday and low and behold they were stringing Christmas lights on the trees, and said they had started the week before!! Another sign that the heat will soon be ending!! I can't wait for Fall, The leaves changing colors, Halloween, Isaac's 1st B-Day.....can't wait for sure~~!!

The kids started preschool this week. Yep, both of them. Maddie goes on Mondays and Wednesday and Aidan goes on Tues and Thurs. so nice to have them learning new things....and yep, I'll admit those eight hours away from them each week is nice!! I spend it working out, but hey...one less kid, is one less kid!! And they LOVE Teacher Terra, so I couldn't ask for anything better.

This past weekend I went on a Retreat with Church and it was so spiritually reviving. I would love that kind of refresher every week, but I will settle at this point. The speaker was great, inspiring, honest, and funny!! She hit home on many points and the crying felt good. I learned some new things, which is always good and walked away happy!! Spiritually happy, emtionally happy and physically happy. We were in the mountains east of Heber and who could ask for a better setting?? I love nature!! Anyway, I feel like me again!! Big thanks to the wonderful friends that went with me and the new friends I met there!! What a great time!!

So I was tagged forever ago by Shanna and have yet to complete it...so here it goes...10 random things about me:

1) Ron and I got married in a drive thru wedding chapel in Las Vegas exactly one year from our frist date. This year will be 9 years married, 10 years since our first date!!

2) Our first date was a blind date and we went to the dollar theatres in Valley Fair to see the Horse Wisperer....I Paid!!

3) I was on the swim team in Jr. High and High School and also swam for our community team! I love to swim!!

4) It took us 2 1/2 years to first get pregnant with Madelyn!

5) I love to read and always get hand me down books from my Dad!!

6) My parents live in California (along with the rest of my family), but they see my children more then Ron's parents combined, who both live in Utah.

7) I only ever wanted two kids, but Heavenly Father has other plans, obviously!!

8) I want to be an elementary school teacher when I grow up!!

9) In Kindergarden, I wanted to be a zookeeper cause I love animals so much! Some things never change (The animals part is what I am refering too)

10) I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I converted when I was 22 years old in CA. before I moved to Utah. I never made a better decision!

Anybody read it and finished it yet>?? Doea everybody know what I am talking about?? Breaking Dawn in the 4th book in Stephanie Meyer's Twlight series. It came out on August 2nd,so I waiting in line at midnight on Friday night to get the book!! Crazy, I know!! anyway, I started reading it Saturday morning, and finished it Sunday afternoon....I loved, loved, loved that book!! My favortie in the series, hands down!! I can't wait for the movie on December 12th...movies anyone????

The guy didn't show up yesterday til 6 ish. I wish it were the kind of place that of they were late it's free ;) too bad it's not!! LOL!!

Anyway.....nothing much going on around here. Kids start both pre school and swim lessons on the 11th for two weeks....then just school Mon-Thurs. Will be nice to only have two for two hours a day, four days a week!! Otherwise....just thinking I REALLY need to get my back yard in order. It has been nothing but weeds since we moved in here almost 9 years ago. I want a nice back yard with nice green grass that my kids can play on/in. They have their swingset and a playhouse and picnic tble and our newly aquired sand box (without sand so far) but I want a trampoline for them and a pool someday and a great big garden and a nice new shed instead of my hagard red one.......Ahhh....the wants!! Maybe someday!!

So our water softener hasn't worked correctly for while now. The thing with the salt was too full of water. Andd then last week or the week before, it started to leak from somewhere else. So last week they came out and "fixed it". But now my basement drain is not daining and there is NO water in the salt thing.....so I am waiting for them to come back out today....I hate waiting too....Why can't they tell you what time they will be here instead of sometime btween 2 and 4.....HELLO....I hate waiting for people to show up to fix things and it seems like they always (They being whoever is coming to fix anything) get here 1/2 hour after the range they give you to begin with. So today...I am expecting them at roughly4:30...of course, that will interfer with dinner being ready by 5, etc, etc......

Two Dogs and some Stiches!!!

What a weekend~!! The title says it all!! We'll we got one new dog on Thursday afternoon, Mia...a 6 month old Papillon/Chiwawa mix. Darling little dog!! The we got another new dog on Saturday, Diasy, a 1 1/2 year old Yellow Lab....the dog I have wanted since meeting Ruger, our friends yellow lab whom I absolutly love....he was my inspiration!! It's a long story, but we were suspossed to go and look at Daisy last weekend, but then got a call form her owners saying they could keep her, so basically never mind....so we went looking at oter dogs and found Mia!! This past Saturday, so a week later, I get a call from Daisy's owner saying they have changed their minds and are now getting rid of her, were we still interested?? Um.....Ron and I talked and desided to go and look at her and see...because frankly, Duke still needed a friend he could play with and Mia wasn't going to cut it!! So we go and look at her, and I fall in love....she is perfect!! A sweet, non hyper, good to kids, trained dog!! So we take her home ;) I am a sucker for animals, what more can I say!!! So now we have three dogs....What were we thinking???

And on to the Stiches.....guess who?? Not me, not Ron and surpirsingly NOT Aidan~!!! Madelyn got her first stiches on Friday evening!! My poor little girl was so brave! We had the Sister Missonaries here for dinner...so we are eating and Maddie gets Aidan a papertowl because, surprise, he spilled something....she was kneeling in my chair handing it to him, when the chair moved and she feel face first onto the floor!! We couldn't get the cut to stay closed to we took her in and she ended up with five stiches!! She was really brave and I think I was more scared of them then she was....but we all got through it (Huge thanks to the Sochas for taking the boys and Mia while Ron and I went to the Dr. w/ Maddie) and she got a pink popsicle afterwards so that made her day. We went back in today for a checkup and they are healing nicely!! She should get them out on Thursday! Poor girl!!

Two different people noticed that I have lost inches and said they can tell~!! Notice I say inches and not weigh!! The fetching scale refuses to move, yet I am losing something and people are noticing ;) They have no idea how good this makes me feel and how motivating it is for me. So last Tuesday we had to have Darla put to sleep! I was so sad. I cried for two days straight...really! We have had Darla since Right after Ron and I got married and moved into this house. She was my baby before I had kids. It was a diffucult few days....but I am over it. I know it was right and she was sick. We went looking at dogs this weekend for a pal for Duke. He is having a hard time too and didn't eat anything for about 3 days. We didn't find "the" one, so suprisingly we didn't get any this weekend. I know my mom was sure we wuld have a new dog by Saturday....but we don't...YET!!

The 4th of July was fun....we din't do too much. Took the kids to the Mana parade in the morning and then to watch fireworks that night. We got a surprise and the fireworks started a fire on the hill, so that added to he excitement,but othewise, just a family day!! Hope everyone enjoyed their 4th!! We are now looking forward to the 24th of July and the parade and floats and fireworks that it brings!!

We got back from Twin yesterday after a long car ride. Maddie pipes up in the back...."It's sinkin' hot in here" Words straight from my mouth....That kid makes me laugh! Well, they all do. Last week Aidan was walking around "shooting" things with the letter "T" from a puzzle, making a pssst sound a he did it. Ron walks in the door and Aidan runs to him, "Dad, look I got a pisser" Ron says "you have a WHAT???" "A PISSER...see dad...pssst, pssst" as he shoots him with the "T"!! I couldn't stop laughing!! I love that kids can make you laugh with such innocence!

Also, of note, Isaac is now crawling as of last Tuesday, offically!! Look out world, here he comes!!

Away for the weekend. We are heading up to Idaho to visit some friends for the weekend. I love getting away like this, although my house suffers and all my "Saturday Chores" pile up for next week!! But, such is the small price to pay to relax!! I can't wait to leave!

So Maddie stopped taking naps just after Aidan was born, when she was about 18 months old. Aidan seemed to have stopped just after he turned two, but has thankfully started again. Isaac, is of course, still napping. Staying home so much during the afternoon allows me to get the kids lunch and then put the boys down for their naps, and then Maddie and I either have quiet time too, take naps ourselves (well I do anyway) or we use the time to get things done!! Today is a get things done day and we are working on laundry!! I love that the boys sleep at the same time!! Makes things so nice in the afternoon around here!!

For Birthday Parties.....
I think 9 months ago began mating season for adults....every year this happens...summer seems to be the time for B-Day parties for every kid that lives anywhere near us. Madelyn didn't go to any all winter, then BAM....two in one week and at least one other comming up soon...that I am aware of right now. Madelyn's B-Day is in August....along with, get this...three other girls the same age as her. We as mothers, are going to try and do one party for all of them so that everyone doesn't have to spend every one of their Saturday's during the month of August trying to make it to all the B-Days parties for these little princesses....one party, four girls...sounds good, but we will see if it happens!!

One Car??

So we are busy trying to figure out if we can make it work with one car for a bit until either 1) I gt the Suburban that I want or 2) Ron gets a motorcycle that he wants. My guess it that I will win, because you can't ride a motorcycle in this state more then about 3 months out of the year, so yes, it is great on gas, but really, how practical would it be?? Not so much...... In the mean time, we are trying to sale his Cavalier (know anybody who wants to by a cheap car??)......the tags have expired, so he isn't driving it....but going back to one car is tough~!! I take it for granted when I have it and always seem to need it when I don't....So once again we will see how long we can make it. Last time we did this, it lasted only 3 months!!

I start my weeks with seemingly nothing to do, but as the week goes on, it fills up and fast! As of yesterday I had nothing to do this week, but get some fabric for a project next week. Easy enough, right?? Nope......so coming from nothing, today I end up.....meeting a friend to deliver something, meeting a different friend for lunch, picking up fabric, going to the bank, and dropping off some documents. Plus receiving my Scentcy order (YEAH!!) And all of that was between 12:30 and 4:00pm. So tomorrow I am watching a couple of my friend's children while she goes with DD #1 to maturation to listen to what the school thinks 4th graders need to know about abstinance ;/ working out, and then hopfully house stuff!! Thursday, watching some other kids for a few hours, and then nothing...Friday nothing - yet!! Although I do need to get to the library this week too!! Oh wait - Friday I have to go to the airport because my BIL comes home from his mission in Brazil!! So there's something...Saturday a B-Day party to go to. And sometime this week I need to get Ron's car sold!! I thought I wouldn't be busy, but I always am, it seems...does it ever stop?? I think it will only get worse as the kids get older.........and to top it all off, Isaac is so close to crawling!! Oh what a week this is going to be!!

At least for a minute or two!! I got home from picking up our Food Co-op stuff (If you don't know what this is, please ask me) and Ron needed to run to Home Depot for some stuff. Isaac fell asleep eating so he took the other two with him. I have the house to myself!!What a wonderful thing!! He's hasn't even been gone and hour and Isaac is still sleeping and already I have gotten about six loads of laundry folded, two done, and a load o thins in the wash soaking in bleech!! I can't believe how much more I can get done without the little kiddos around. I love them dearly, but some days I truely can't wait for them to all be in school full time ;)
